Youth Ministry
Purpose: To instill, implant, and build in the hearts and minds those Biblical teachings which will root and ground youth in the Christian faith. Scripture: "Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." I Timothy 4 :12
Music Ministry
Purpose: - To furnish music that shall glorify God, and edify the church through melodic and harmonic praise. Scripture - "Praise the Lord with the harp, sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song, play skillfully with a loud noise." - Psalms 33:2-3 - Mass Choir - Male Voices of Belmont - Youth Choir - Sanctuary Choir - Inspirational Choir - Women’s Chorus
Mission Ministries:
Senior Mission Purpose: To through outreach, minister to the outcast, hungry, naked, destitute, and the disenfranchised through love, patience, and tenderness. Scripture: Galatians 6:10 - “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those that are of the household of faith.”
Young Adult Mission Purpose: To further the cause of Christ by being good examples of benevolence, showing kindness toward the less fortunate, wounded, and bereaved. Scripture: II Corinthians 9:9 – “He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor; his righteousness remaineth for ever.”
Red Circle Mission - Young Ladies 7 to 17 Purpose: To train youth to act and interact in Christian outreach as they are being developed and trained to offer Christian aid in both foreign and domestic Scripture: "Make you perfect in every good work to do his will. Working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ." Hebrews 13:21 Mothers Board Ministry Purpose: To give sound wisdom, and counsel to the younger women, and be teachers of good Christian Doctrine, piety and holiness. Scripture: Titus 2:3 “That older women likewise be reverent in behavior, not slanders, not given to much wine, teachers of good things…” Sunday School Ministry Purpose: To reach and implant the seed i.e. the Word of God into the hearts and minds of believers. Scripture: Acts 20:33 “So now brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His Grace, which is able to build you up and to give you an inheritance among all who are sanctified.” BTU – Baptist Training Union Ministry Purpose: To train, teach, and explore Scripture topically and analytically. Scripture: II Timothy 3:16-17 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…that the man of God may be complete thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Evangelism Ministry Purpose: To spread the Word of God and to fulfill the great commission. Scripture: Acts 19:20 “So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.”
Nurses Aide Ministry Purpose: To supply physical assistance to those in the local assembly. Scripture: II Corinthians 9:12 “For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints.” Usher Board Ministry Senior Usher Board
Purpose: To receive into the local assembly Worshippers, and conduct guest respectively in love, and kindness as doorkeepers. Scripture: Philemon 1:1 “If thou count me therefore a partner receive him as myself.”
Young Adult & Youth Usher Board Purpose: To seat and conduct members into the Sanctuary, this will allow them to feel Graced and welcomed. Scripture: Psalms 84:10 “For a day in thy course is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God…” Scholarship Ministry
Purpose: To enhance the learning of those who would seek to move further in the area of higher learning. Bereavement Ministry Purpose: To reach out to those who have suffered the loss of a loved one through encouragement, counseling, prayer, and fellowship. Scripture: II Corinthians 1:4 “Who comforts us in all our tribulations that we may be able to comfort those who are in any troubles…” Prayer Warriors at Large Purpose: Through divine dialogue to God, will be able through this method to move the hand of God toward the recipient. Scripture: “II Corinthians 9:14… And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding Grace of God in you…” |
